In regards to push back, there are 2 phrases that you must be familiar with:

  • Pilot to ATC "REQUEST PUSH BACK" to get the push back approval.
  • Pilot to ground crew "READY FOR PUSH BACK" to signal the ground crew that you are ready & are already approved by ATC for push back
