Is it allowed to re-fuel an aircraft with any wide-cut fuel whilst passengers are boarding?
- Refueling JET (A) is allowed with precautions
- Refueling JET (B) or AVGAS is NOT allowed while boarding (widecut fuel), unless the operator has specific procedures in place.
Refuelling or de-fuelling with Avgas (aviation gasoline) or wide-cut type fuel (Jet-B or equivalent) or with a mixture of these types should not take place when passengers are embarking, on board or disembarking, and only if the operator has established appropriate procedures, taking into account the high risk of using wide-cut fuel types.

(b) For all other types of fuel, the necessary precautions should be taken, and the aircraft should be properly manned by qualified personnel that should be ready to initiate and direct an evacuation of the aircraft by the most practical and expeditious means available.
