Where is an intermediate holding position required?
  • A
    An intermediate holding position should be established on a taxiway at any point other than a runway-holding position where it is desirable to define a specific holding limit.

    An intermediate holding position shall be established at an intersection of a road with a runway.

    An intermediate holding position should be provided when the traffic density is medium or heavy.

Intermediate holding position. A designated position intended for traffic control at which taxiing aircraft and vehicles shall stop and hold until further cleared to proceed, when so instructed by the aerodrome control tower.
