While under Flight Information Service, you wish to use your single radio to request an ATC clearance from another ground station. What phraseology should you use?
The question states that the aircraft is flying under a Flight Information Service (FIS). A FIS Officer is not an Air Traffic Controller and can not issue instructions such as clearances for take-off or landing. Normally, when working with a FIS, you would choose when to change frequency and report "changing to..."
Looking at the answers:
'G-ACZG, request change to ONE TWO FIVE DECIMAL SEVEN SEVEN FIVE' --> CORRECT. Best possible answer. Requesting a change is unusual, normally you just inform that you are 'changing to...' According to feedback this is however the correct answer.
'G-ACZG, changing to ONE TWO FIVE POINT SEVEN SEVEN FIVE' --> INCORRECT. Use of the word "POINT".
'G-ACZG, request contact ONE TWO FIVE POINT SEVEN SEVEN FIVE' --> INCORRECT. Use of the word "POINT"
'G-ACZG, request monitor ONE TWO FIVE DECIMAL SEVEN SEVEN FIVE' --> INCORRECT. You would never request to monitor. Monitor is used by ATC when they want you to listen out on a frequency without making a call, typically used in busy airspace.
