Considering how altitude is displayed on aircraft equipped with EFIS, which of the following designs or features are used?
1. Numerical indication of the maximum certified altitude
2. Rolling altitude scale with a numerical indication of the current altitude
3. Numerical indication of the current outside pressure in hPa
4. Indication or bug for the selected altitude
Refer to figure.
On EFIS equipped aircraft, the altitude indication appears both as a moving scale and as a more exact digital readout on grey background. Small white marks are positioned on the scale against the round values (e.g. 280, 290,...).
TARGET ALTITUDE OR SELECTED FLIGHT LEVEL SYMBOL
This symbol shows the selected altitude (if QNH BARO reference is selected) or the selected flight level (if STD BARO reference is selected).
The altitude bug indicates the selected altitude when the vertical guidance is either selected or managed.
BAROMETRIC REFERENCE
The flight crew selects the QNH pressure reference in hectopascals (or inches of mercury) on the barometric reference knob of the EFIS control panel, this then shows up on the primary flight display for easy reference.
