According to Commission Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 of 5 October 2012, Annex IV Commercial air transport operations [Part-CAT],Subpart D related to “Instruments, Data, Equipment “ (IDE), Section 2 for Helicopters (H), “CAT.IDE.H.270” regarding Megaphones is prescribed that:
- Helicopters with an MOPSC of more than 19 shall be equipped with one portable battery-powered megaphone readily accessible for use by crew members during an emergency evacuation.
