Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP). A publication issued by or with the authority of a State and containing aeronautical information of a lasting character essential to air navigation.
Each State publishes its own AIP which contains:
- PART 1 — GENERAL (GEN): Includes general regulations related to aeronautical information.
- PART 2 — EN-ROUTE (ENR): Includes details on en-route information such as airways, navigation aids, and flight planning procedures applicable to the airspace covered by the AIP.
- PART 3 — AERODROMES (AD): Includes information about aerodromes such as dimensions, operational hours and aerodrome charts.
