The ATC informs the pilot:
"You are now entering airspace Delta"
What is the appropriate response by the pilot?
Refer to figure.
ICAO Annex 10 Volume II
5.2.1.5 TRANSMITTING TECHNIQUE
ROGER → “I have received all of your last transmission.”
WILCO → (Abbreviation for “will comply”.) “I understand your message and will comply with it.”
The ATC informs the pilot that he/she is entering controlled airspace. This is an informative transmission, and the pilot should indicate to the ATC that he/she has received the message. Therefore, the term 'Roger' may be used as a response to the ATC.
